TAKEOVER
Live Basketball event where the country's top high school prospects for both boys and girls are invited to play a series of exhibition matches in Brooklyn, NY, in front of a live audience. The entire event was filmed and edited into a mini doc capturing the individual players' experiences throughout the weekend, both on and off the court, along with other videos capturing each individual event.
GFX RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Graphical needs for all videos produced, including common assets like lower thirds and stylized text, as well as graphic treatments of player intros, video effects, and specially themed overlays & elements per exhibition event.
2. Expanding the visual identity beyond just video by creating text, backgrounds, and other misc. animated elements to be displayed on LED screens all over the venue. Visual aspects such as Font Choice, Color Palette, and Theme (warped/glitched aesthetic) were chosen by Overtime's Design Director, which I then further expanded upon and brought to life.
VIDEO RESPONSIBILITIES
As Head Media Manager, I lead a team of 9 other media managers to ingest all the footage from the 13 cameras shooting all day over the 3 days. This included ingesting and organizing footage, syncing external audio, grouping into sequences (by date, event captured, and player captured), as well as taking story notes, making proxies for 4K footage, and pulling selects.
